Italy has won it finally and Zidane had a bad day on this historic event ended on a bit of sour note. Zidane loosing his calm, I don’t know why? But it had happened. A penalty shoot out in World cup finals after 12 years. 1994 was the year when Italy lost to Brazil and which would have haunted Italy even in the finals that took place but Italy didn’t repeat Baggios blunder and played responsibly and for the first time Italy seemed to be loosing its adjective of being a defensive strategize team. Thanks to Lippi’s moves Italy have played well being attacking which didn’t made their defense less but added to their arsenal. Italy played with 4 strikers in their semi’s which took them to Finals and here they showed that they can attack with strength.

  Overall it was a World cup full of thunders and blunders. Brazil and Ronaldo couldn’t fire; Rooney was really in vain and Cristiano Ronaldo proved that he can make a big difference and Zidane taught the young guns how to spoil the party just when it could have been better and bigger.

Italy had a well deserved win and hats off to all the boys who really kept their nerves. It was great fun writing for soccer fairy. Happy winning and learning till World cup 2010.
