Maradona taken to hospital for health exam
Argentina legend Diego Maradona was admitted to a private hospital for several hours for a “complete examination”, his personal doctor has said.
“Maradona was hospitalized during the night to avoid a media circus,” said Alfredo Cahe.
It is not the first time the infamous owner of the “hand of God” has had a health scare. In April, the 1986 World Cup winning captain underwent a medical exam for gastric pains.
He also flirted with death in 2004 after a cardiovascular crisis and in March 2005 he went under the knife to reduce his ballooning stomach, an operation that saw him lose 50 kilos.
