Slavia slap surly Tunisian into reserve side

Tunisian international Tijani Belaid has been demoted to the reserve team as punishment for his off-pitch behaviour and reaction when substituted, Czech league leaders Slavia Prague said on Friday.
“I think he needs to think above all about his behaviour off the pitch,” team manager Karel Jarolim said on the club’s internet site.
“I don’t like his attitude when he doesn’t play or when he comes on as a substitute,” he added.
Jarolim said the last straw was Belaid’s behaviour when brought on in the second half in the crushing 7-0 Champions’ League defeat against Arsenal.
Belaid, who scored the winner in Slavia’s Champions League opening game against Steaua Bucharest, is on a year’s loan from Inter Milan.
The decision to demote him to the reserves “is not definitive”, Jarolim added.
Belaid was born in France and has both French and Tunisian citizenship but most recently played for the Tunisian national team.
